The first unmanned convenience store in Shanghai reopened on Wednesday after being forced to close temporarily as a result of hot weather.

周三，上海首家无人便利店重新营业，此前该店因高温而被迫暂停营业。

【讲解】

unmanned convenience store是无人便利店。
这家缤果盒子无人便利店新增了一台空调（air conditioner），并安装了遮阳帘（sun umbrellas），以防止因高温（hot weather）引起的店内食物变质（go off）。
上周，由于持续高温（high temperatures），一些顾客（customer）称巧克力等食品已经融化（melt），因此该店不得不暂停营业。
无人便利店依靠手机技术（mobile phone technologies）和面部识别软件（facial recognition software）运作。顾客要先实名注册。注册（register）成功后，通过扫描门上的二维码（scan a QR code）进入便利店。选择完商品后在收银台扫码（scan them at the cashier）结账，用手机支付工具（mobile phone payment tools）付款。
店内有摄像头监控顾客的行为，如果不付款就将商品带走的人会被记录在公司的数据库（database）中。
目前上海和广东共有8家这样的无人便利店，提供小吃和日用品（daily necessities），价格略低于传便利店（traditional convenience stores）。
