Students in their final year at junior high and senior high schools in Beijing are scheduled to return to school on May 11 and April 27, respectively, as in-school education for the spring semester has been suspended due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.

目前春季学期的学校教育因新冠病毒疫情暂停，北京高三年级将于4月27日返校，初三年级将于5月11日开学。

北京市教委新闻发言人李奕在上周日举行的新闻发布会上宣布了这一消息，同时表示，北京高考（college entrance examination）时间为7月7日至10日。今年北京中考（entrance examination for high school）时间确定为7月17日至19日。
李奕表示，高三初三年级学生要提前两周（two weeks in advance）返京，学校干部、教职员工（school staff members and teachers）和必要行政工勤人员应至少提前10天到岗。
近期未离京并连续14天居家观察且无症状的师生员工，可返校（return to school）开学。近期从境外、京外返京的师生员工，须居家或集中医学观察（14-day home or integrated quarantine）14天且核酸检测阴性（negative result in nucleic acid testing）后，方可返校开学。
中小学其他各年级（other grades）的返校，以及中职学校、高等学校和幼儿园（kindergartens）、特殊教育学校（special education schools）的返校将另行考虑。
贵州初高三学生（students in their final year at junior high and senior high schools）已于三月中旬（mid-March）返校。
上周五，贵州省教育局宣布，初高中非毕业班（non-graduating classes）学生4月28日作开学准备。本科高校（含研究生）和高职院校非毕业年级、小学（primary schools）、幼儿园，5月中旬后视情况再确定开学时间（school dates）。
