比如 a blank paper 是“一张白纸”。

sth. looks blank 是“看起来没啥希望”、“看起来暗淡”。

而 blank cheque 则是“空白支票”。

另外，它其实也能用来做名词，商务英语里有个说法叫 be a blank，它表示“头脑处于空白状态”。

I'm totally a blank about this.

我对这件事真的完全搞不懂。

I was a blank during that meeting.

那个会上我脑子一片空白。
