3月15日上午消息，谷歌围棋程序AlphaGo与李世石九段今日将举行最后一场比赛，围绕人工智能的话题热度有增无减。此前有网友调侃“谷歌人工智能赢世界冠军，百度用黑科技送外卖”，百度公司日前回应称：确实已将人工智能相关的技术应用到了百度外卖中。

新浪科技周二报道，互联网巨头百度称他们在人工智能领域取得了巨大进展，而且已经将人工智能应用到送餐服务上。

【讲解】

artificial intelligence是人工智能；food delivery service是送餐服务。
有网民开玩笑称，“谷歌的人工智能已经赢了世界冠军（beat a champion at a board game），可百度的黑科技还是送外卖（food delivery）……”百度回应称其送餐服务应用的正是人工智能。
百度介绍，对于百度外卖骑士来说，自己几分钟能够赶到餐厅取餐（how long it takes couriers to arrive at the restaurant）是一个基本确定值，多长时间能够送到用户家中（how long they take from the restaurant to the client's door）也可估算，可是“餐厅多长时间能把餐做出来（how long it takes for kitchens to prepare food）”这件事，在相当长的时间里却近乎一个玄学数据，因为每家餐厅的厨师速度不一、客流量（volumes of clients）亦总在变化。
做得快了（cooks get food ready too fast），不能保障送餐的质量；做得慢了，送餐员（courier）就得在餐厅里等上半天，可能会错过其它订单。
这就需要人工智能的帮助。百度将人工智能应用到自动系统（automatic system）中，准确计算（precisely calculate）每个步骤的时间。
有用户订餐，系统会告诉百度外卖骑士这份餐还需要多久可以做好，甚至系统会直接在此基础上为他规划路线（offer a route plan）。
百度外卖过往每一单，每间餐厅每道菜的出餐时间（the time cost of every order and every meal from every restaurant），在数据系统里都有记录，并汇聚成大数据。人工智能可以依据这些数据对出餐时间（the time a meal is ready）进行估算（estimate）。
人工智能专家（specialist）吴恩达表示，百度正在用最前沿的技术（cutting edge technology），解决消费者日常遇到最常见的问题（solve the daily ordinary problems of consumers）。
