The existing solutions to traffic jam mainly aim at creating metro bussystems and broadening major roads. Widening the existing roads can solvetraffic snarls on some level. Soaring car ownership compounds the chronicannoying problem, so we must sharply reduce the heavy reliance on cars and drivea shift to the mass transportation. It is a cheap and good way. We can create asystem of customized bus routes and highlight the development of subways,trolleys and light rail. The effective combination of these solutions willenable the urban areas to possess a smooth traffic.

The traffic problem is one of the most serious problems in my ntly, more and more people have private car, but the roads are so narrowthat we have to fight against the heavy traffic when we go out. Especiallyduring the rush hours, cars and buses are unable to move. To make things worse,many people are killed in the traffic accidents. How miserable it is!

For the sake of our life and security, some measures must be taken tochange the present situation. In the first place, as there are a great manycars, we should control the number of private cars and vehicles and use thepublic transportation more often. Secondly, the government should widen theroads and build more flyovers, so as to ease the traffic pressure and reduce thetraffic accidents. In addition, the undergrounds and light rails should beconstructed, so that we can have more choices when going out and do not have toworry about the traffic jams in the future.

I believe the traffic problem could be solved if we devote our actions tothem.

Besides, it is much more economical to ride a bike than drive acar. On the one hand, the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is the annual ver, the annual fees for a car are costly. On the other hand, a bike needn'tbe equipped with a parking lot, but a car must. Most important of all, it isbeneficial to the environment to ride a bicycle because the bike doesn't consumepetrol; it is a pollution-free transport. In contrast, the exhaust released bythe car is harmful to the environment.

Since China is a developing country with a large population, bicycles willstill be the most popular means of transport in China for quite a long people will still ride bicycles to go to work or to school. The emperorcountry of bicycles will remain for at least dozens of years.
