中国流动人口总量连续两年下降

China's migrating population saw a decline for the second consecutive year in 2016 - to 245 million - according to a report released by the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
根据国家卫计委近日发布的一份报告，2016年，我国流动人口总量连续第二年下降，总量为2.45亿人。

Last year, China's migrating population decreased by 1.7 million from 2015, the report said.
该报告指出，相比2015年，去年我国的流动人口减少了170万人。

Before 2015, the group had been growing, from 230 million in 2011 to a peak of 253 million in 2014.
在2015年之前，这一群体一直在增长，从2011年的2.3亿人增长到峰值--2014年的2.53亿人。

Over the past six years, the portion of all migrants who moved across provinces declined from nearly 70% in 2011 to less than 64% last year, while the percentage of those migrating to different cities within the same province rose from about 25% in 2011 to more than 27% last year, it said.
该报告称，过去六年间，全国跨省流动人口比例由2011年的近70%降至2016年的不足64%，同期省内跨市流动人口比重则从约25%上升至逾27%。

Meanwhile, average age of migrants rose from 27.3 years to 29.8 years during the same period.
同时，流动人口的平均年龄由2011年的27.3岁增至2016年的29.8岁。

The monthly income of migrant workers increased by 15% annually, on average, between 2014 and last year, the report said.
报告指出，在2014年至2016年期间，就业流动人口的月收入年均增长15%。

The drop in numbers over the past two years is largely the result of major policies issued by the governments to encourage migrants to settle down in the cities where they work, said Wang Qian, head of the department of services and management for migrant population of the commission.
国家卫计委流动人口计划生育服务管理司司长王谦称，过去两年间我国流动人口总量的下降，主要是受政府鼓励流动人口在工作城市落户等重要政策措施的影响。
