朝韩举行核问题直接会谈

Nuclear envoys from North and South Korea held talks Friday on the sidelines of the ASEAN security forum in Bali, the first such meeting between the two sides since six-party nuclear talks collapsed in December 2008.

The South's Yonhap news agency quoted North Korea's nuclear envoy Ri Yong Ho as saying the parties agreed to work together to resume the stalled disarmament talks.

Seoul's chief nuclear negotiator Wi Sung-lac said the meeting had been "very constructive" and useful.

North Korea's two nuclear tests in the past five years triggered international sanctions against Pyongyang.

South Korea, the U.S., Russia, China and Japan have been pushing for a resumption of the six-party talks. All six parties are attending the ASEAN conference.韩国官员表示，来自朝鲜和韩国的核问题特使星期五在印尼巴厘岛东盟安全问题会议期间举行了会谈。有关外交人员说，这是自2008年12月有关核问题的六方会谈破裂以来，朝韩两国核问题首席特使之间的第一次会议。

朝鲜过去五年举行两次核试验，导致国际社会对平壤实施制裁。韩国、美国、俄罗斯、中国和日本一直在推动重启六方会谈。六国都参加了这次东盟会议。
