Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp has sensationally accused Hollywood A-lister Kevin Spacey of inviting him to his Manhattan apartment when he was just 14 years old and making a 'drunken' sexual advance towards him.

Spacey is accused of 'laying down on top' of Mr Rapp at a 1986 party when the Star Trek actor was 14 and said: 'He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.'

‘The older I get, and the more I know, I feel very fortunate that something worse didn’t happen,’ Rapp said. ‘And at the same Time, the older I get, the more I can’t believe it. I could never imagine [that] anyone else I know would do something like that to a 14-year-old boy.’

He's since been criticised for choosing this moment to come out - and some have accused him of using his sexuality as a shield to deflect the negative publicity the allegations have sparked.

Netflix has announced it was cancelling its flagship television series, House of Cards, a day after allegations that its star, Kevin Spacey, sexually harassed a 14-year-old boy.

Several sources said that the decision to end the award-winning Netflix drama was made prior to Rapp's claim about Spacey, but the announcement nevertheless raised eyebrows for its timing.

“Media Rights Capital and Netflix are deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning Kevin Spacey," a Netflix spokesman told The Daily Telegraph.
