Most westerners always celebrate Christmas Day as their major festival,inorder to memorialize ng that time,they always have several days off,sothey can enjoy this festival with all their children often gettogether with their adults are busy with decorating also send the postcards with their best wishes to each thestreets,there are so many Fathers Christmas sending presents to everything is on a discount in the thesupermarkets are the busiest places.
In the evening,the families usually have pudding,sandwiches,apple pies andsome other desserts for r supper,the families always sing and dancearound the Christmas times,they also go to re going tobed,the children often hang up their stockings beside their bed,so that FatherChristmas will fill them with is said that Father Christmas alwaysdrives a deer to the human world and entering into each house from the children no longer believe in Father Christmas,but they stillhang up their stockings,because their parents will fill them with presents.
Christmas is the most important festival in the western world. It falls onDecember 25th. When my mother and I stayed in America, we were invited by one ofmy mother‘s friends to have Christmas with an American family. We bought somepresents for our American friends on our way to their house.
They had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests whenwe got to their house, such as Christmas candles, cakes, cards, little toys,biscuits and so on. A Christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brillianthall. How beautiful it was! We were impressed by these. We had a big meal. Afterdinner, they told us some interesting stories about Christmas. We learned thatChristmas had something to do with God. We went to bed at midnight. Though weknew the Santa Claus was not true, we were still waiting for the Santa Clauswith white beard to bring us we received many beautiful presentsthe next morning.
This Christmas was really unforgettable. Not only did I have a good time,but also I knew something about foreign culture.
