Shirley:Sure, what would you like?

Carl: Is it possible to get a beer?

Shirley:Why don’t you have a water or juice instead, so you don’t get dehydrated?

Carl: You’re right.I’ll save the beer for when we land. One orange juice,please.

1. Could I have something to drink,please? 我能点些喝的吗？

May I order something to drink?

I would like to have something to drink.

2. Why don’t you have a water or juice instead？你何不点些水或果汁来代替啤酒？
instead是副词，意为“替代；更换”。例如：
If you cannot go, let him go instead.
如果你不能去，让他替你去。

你应该喝些水或果汁，而不喝啤酒。

3. I’ll save the beer for when we land. 啤酒我会留到降落时再喝。
when引导一个时间状语从句，用一般时态表示将要发生的事，主句要用将来时。If引导的条件从句，也是这样用法。例如：
